How to play
Select one person to think of a word, and have them write as many lines on the board as there are letters in the word they have chosen. The remaining participants guess letters, to try to reveal the word as quickly as possible. For each correct guess, that letter is written on the board above the corresponding line. For each incorrect guess, a section of the hangman illustration is drawn on the board. If the illustration is completed before the full word is guessed, the group loses. If the group guesses correctly, they win.
For a twist on Hangman, why not play Martyr Man? Instead of completing the hangman illustration, draw a martyred man (stoned, crucified, crucified upside down, burnt alive and so on). This could then lead to some interesting conversations about the men who died in these ways.
