How to play
Set up even rows of chairs, one for every person, and turn the first row around to face the others. Everyone takes a seat. The front row is team 1, the row behind is team 2, and so on. The game then flows like this:
• Leader: 'King Characticus has lost his thinking cap, some say this, some say that, I say team number 1 stole the hat!'
• Team 1: 'No sir not I sir!'
• Leader: 'Then who sir?'
• Team 1: 'Team number 3 sir!'
• Team 3: 'No sir not I sir!'
• Team 1: 'Then who sir?'
• Team 3: 'Team number 5 sir!'
• and on it goes.
The team accused must stand with arms interlocked and say their line in unison, and no team may send it straight back to whoever just accused them. Any team that fumbles the line, or fails to stand and speak together, moves to the very last row, and every row behind them shuffles forward and takes a new number. Set a time limit before you start, and whichever team is sitting in the front row when time is up wins.
