How to play
Sit the group in a circle with one chair in the middle. One person is the keeper of the keys. They sit on the chair, blindfolded, with the keys underneath them and three pairs of rolled-up socks in their lap. Silently choose one person from the circle to be the thief. The thief has to sneak up, take the keys and get them out of the circle without being hit. The keeper defends by throwing or swinging the socks at any sound they hear. Hit the thief and the keeper wins. Get the keys clear and the thief wins. Everyone else must stay completely silent or the keeper has no chance. Rolled-up socks are ideal, being soft enough to be safe and easy to throw.
