How to play
Give each person a paper plate and ask them to draw a clock face on it. Allow about five minutes for everyone to move around booking appointments. They find somebody, agree on a time that is free on both plates, and write each other's names into that slot. No chatting beyond names at this stage, and they will need to move fast. At various points during the night, call an appointment time and have everyone find that person and ask three questions (e.g. name, occupation, favourite weekend activity). Don't work through all twelve, as a handful of appointments is plenty. For smaller groups, use appointment cards instead of plates and ask for just three appointments each. Also works well as a way to pair people up at random for other games.
